This page covers both our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service for SpeakCoach (“we”, “us”) — the tool that helps you practice interviews and pitches and gives you AI-powered feedback, and lets sales teams practice together. By using the service, you agree to these terms. We've tried to keep it in plain language.
Privacy Policy
The short version: When you record an answer, upload a resume, or paste notes, that content is sent to our AI provider to generate your feedback. We don't sell your data. We don't store your raw audio or resume files. If you sign in, we save your transcripts and feedback so you can see your history.
Information we collect
Account details. If you sign in, our authentication provider (Clerk) handles your name and email address.
Practice content. Audio recordings of your spoken answers, transcripts of those answers, any resume/CV you upload, and any text you paste into fields like “Anything else?” (for example interview briefs, recruiter emails, or prep notes).
Generated feedback. The scores, transcripts, suggestions, and improved answers our AI produces for you.
Team data. If you use Teams, we store the team you create or join, your role (manager or rep), the practice scenarios a manager configures, invite links, and the manager's email address (so a team can be recovered — see below).
Technical data. Basic usage data and your IP address, used to keep the service running and to prevent abuse (for example, limiting free trials).
How we use your information
To transcribe your speech and generate coaching feedback.
To save your practice history when you're signed in.
To run Teams — letting a manager set scenarios and see their members' practice activity and scores.
To operate, secure, and improve the service.
To prevent abuse and enforce usage limits.
Who we share it with
We use trusted third-party services to run SpeakCoach. Your information may be processed by:
Google (Gemini AI). Your audio, resume text, and pasted notes are sent here to produce transcripts and feedback.
Clerk. Manages your account sign-in.
Supabase. Stores your transcripts, feedback, practice history, and team data.
Vapi. Powers the live voice interview conversations.
Vercel & Upstash. Host the app and help with rate limiting.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
What we store and what we don't
We do not store your raw audio recordings or the resume files you upload — those are sent to our AI provider for processing and then discarded. We do store the resulting transcripts, feedback, and (for signed-in users) your practice history so you can review it later.
Teams, account deletion & data retention
If you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal data — your interview and pitch practice history and your individual team memberships. This personal data cannot be recovered.
A team you manage is not deleted with your account. So your reps aren't cut off mid-practice, the team is kept and its members can keep practicing the scenario you already set — but it can no longer be managed (no changes, invites, or dashboard) until it is reclaimed.
30-day recovery. A team left without a manager — or one a manager deletes — can be reclaimed by signing in with the same email address within 30 days. After 30 days, the team and all of its data (members, scenarios, and invites) are permanently and automatically deleted.
Because a team can outlive its manager's account, other members' memberships and the team's data may persist after a manager leaves. A manager can also remove a rep, which deletes that rep's membership in the team. Team recovery is tied to control of the email address used to create the team.
A note on sensitive information
Because content you provide is sent to an AI provider, please avoid pasting information you wouldn't want processed by a third party — such as other people's private contact details, confidential company documents, or sensitive personal data.
Your choices
You can use guest mode without creating an account.
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings; this removes your personal data as described above.
You can also request deletion of your data by contacting us.
Children
SpeakCoach is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date above.
Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and SpeakCoach. By using the service, you agree to them. Please read them alongside the Privacy Policy above.
What SpeakCoach is
SpeakCoach lets you practice interviews and pitches out loud and gives you AI-generated feedback, scores, and suggestions, and lets sales teams practice shared scenarios together. It is a practice and coaching tool.
AI feedback is guidance, not a guarantee
The feedback is generated by AI and may be inaccurate or incomplete. It is meant to help you practice — it is not a promise of any interview outcome, job offer, or investment, and it is not professional, legal, or career advice. Use your own judgment.
Using the service responsibly
When you use SpeakCoach, you agree not to:
Break any law or infringe anyone else's rights.
Upload content you don't have the right to share, or other people's confidential or sensitive information.
Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service or its usage limits.
Use the service to harass, harm, or mislead others.
Your content
You keep ownership of the content you provide (your recordings, resume, and notes). You grant us permission to process that content — including sending it to our AI provider — so we can give you feedback and run the service.
Teams
SpeakCoach Teams lets a manager create a team, invite reps with a link, set the practice scenarios reps work on, and see a dashboard of their members' practice activity and scores. If you join a team, the manager of that team can see your practice within it and may remove you from the team.
Your responsibilities. As a manager, you're responsible for who you invite and the scenarios you set. As a rep, you should only join teams you recognize.
Deleting a team or account. You can delete your team, and you can delete your account. When a managing account is deleted, the team is kept temporarily so members aren't cut off, while your personal data is deleted. A team without a manager can be practiced but not modified.
30-day recovery. A deleted or manager-less team can be restored only by signing in with the same email within 30 days. When prompted after signing up, you may choose to restore the team or to delete it immediately and permanently. After 30 days an unreclaimed team is permanently deleted automatically and cannot be recovered.
Accounts and access
Some features require an account. You're responsible for activity under your account. We may limit, suspend, or end access if these terms are broken, and free usage may be capped.
Service availability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We may change, pause, or discontinue features at any time, and we don't guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, SpeakCoach is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including decisions you make based on the AI feedback.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms.
